After transferring from a city school, Tonia befriends a group of young people, trying to find shelter from the people from her past and a place where she truly belongs. They spend time together, wandering the post-socialist suburbs of Kyiv, having fun and getting into trouble. Soon, Tonia falls for Zhurik. When she also falls for Sania, she finds herself caught up in a secret and seductive love triangle. But Tonia’s painful past still haunts her, challenging this new friendship and romance.
